In my view, a Sustainable Business Software Architecture is based on a company’s business model, operations and its PLANET-CENTRIC VALUE CHAIN and is an approach to designing and developing business software systems that support SUSTAINABLE DIGITALIZATION. It focuses on creating software ecosystems that can help organizations reduce their environmental impact, improve social responsibility, and ensure economic viability - while mastering their core business processes. Qualities of a Sustainable Business Software Architecture are:

How to transform towards a Sustainable Business Software Architecture?

Building a Sustainable Business Software Architecture requires a systematic approach that takes into account an organization's unique situation, needs, objectives and resources. The assumption is, that most companies already have conducted assessments on how to transform their business value chain towards a Planet-Centric Value Chain and that they have already identified areas of improvement in specific process areas like Lead2Cash, Source2Pay, Design2Operate and Record2Report for example. Nevertheless it would be interesting to exchange with experts on the following topics:

  • How can a company‘s core business processes software applications be optimized for sustainability and efficiency?

  • What are a company's regulatory and legal requirements related to sustainability and how can they be addressed through a Sustainable Business Software Architecture?
     

It would be interesting to discuss how to define a roadmap to implement a company’s  SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS SOFTWARE ARCHITECTURE for its business that considers sustainability throughout their existing and future business software portfolio in order to support the business, all of the stakeholders and to help the business to reduce the impact on the environment while doing good for all beings.
